Essential Questions
To get started, ask yourself the following essential questions. (We recommend creating an online document - a Developer's Notebook - for keeping notes and getting your ideas down in writing. If you have not done so already, you can get a template for one here. Note that you will need to be logged into your Google account to do so.)
Note that these questions are personal; there are no right or wrong answers.
* Is this something I can do on my own, or do I need administration buy-in?
* Would this work better done along with my colleagues?
* Will blended learning look the same in every class I teach?
* How will blended learning benefit my students?
* How will I assess the value?
* Do I want/need to use a provider of content, or can I create/find my own?
* What kind of professional development will I need to carry this out? Can I get it on my own, or do I need help from my school?
* How will I prepare my students for the blended learning experience? What new thinking or skills will they need to be successful?
* What problems do I anticipate?
* How will I deal with students who do not have the same access to technology outside of school? How will I find out?
